How's it been?
It's November, which means Thanksgiving, turkeys and pumpkin pie. >:]
It also means we have a new banner contest.

The banner you see on the site now was made by none other than Keith!

It's as easy as 1,2,3!... Kinda. If you're good at photoshop or want to try it out,
try making a banner! It'll be on the website accredited to you and you're get points for it too!

There have only been recreational videos so far :[
But Olivia is still working on the MSABC one so that should be up soon.

The forum (found here) will be up soon (or maybe now) , and with it you can sign up for roles in videos that we plan to make.
You guys will obviously be the first to use it! (What luck I'm in web :D)

Hi, webbies!
How's it going?

For those of you who have not received emails until now,
check out our blog for updates and a thorough point system!

Here is just a quick run-through of the point system.
Notice we've changed the points for pictures!

PICTURES
30 pts for a bundle of pictures
(at least 15 decent and distinct pictures;
we don't want 50 pictures of different angles of your house
though it would be interesting seeing your house in different angles :D)

VIDEOS
range is from 10-100 pts
(for videos with some decent content)
decided by a panel of judges (us!)

BANNERS
decided by the same panel of judges
What are banners you say?...

BANNER CONTEST
We will be hosting a banner contest!
If you look at the website, you will see a picture right above BOOMBA!, i.e., the banner.
But it'd be boring to see the same banner over and over again each day,
each week, each month, and each year! It'd be pretty hard to change it everyday
so we'll try changing it every month.
But, of course, we will need YOUR help!

So what exactly are we looking for? Well, there isn't really any definite criteria.
You could have something like a mosaic with different pictures laid together like
those albums or just one long picture. Be artistic!
However, the banner must be 650 pixels by 150 pixels.

So get creative! Remember, photoshop is your friend!

And of course, we know everyone's been going to events, yes?
Nah, we kid. We haven't really been to many either (maybe), but that just means YOU guys (yes, you, the web committee) need
to be OUR supplement, BUT remember every deed comes with a reward >=].
We'll try our best to get as many videos as we can, but we ask that you help us.
After all, this IS a group effort. It's not one-to-two-man (like Rambo) , or rather two-person show.

PICTURES
Self-explanatory? Take pictures at events and send them to us!
Don't forget to make them look kool in any way you can. :D

VIDEOS
Shoot! Film! Record! Send clips of events to us if you have any. If the attachment is too large, give them
to us in person, on a CD preferably.
E-mail us and we'll try to work it out so that we can get the clips and post them on the website.
But if you unable to comply with the above, just send it in raw and we'll think of something.
OR Upload your file to: www.megaupload.com and give us the link that comes with it :D

WEBSITE
How can you help out with the site? Give us some suggestions on how we can improve it, BUT
likely you Guys will actually be able to help out technically, and learn something about the site.

Pictures
null for pictures that may hold no worth
5 pts for decent picture
x pts for extraordinary pictures (improve your photography skills!)

Raw Videos: judged by committee chairs (Olivia and Keith)
10 - 50 pts per raw vid

Edited Videos: judged by committee chairs (Keith and Olivia)
10 - 100 pts per edited vid
If either one of the chairs has submitted a video, that chair will not judge his/her own video. Instead, the Editor (Jensen) will take the place of the chair and judge the video along side the other chair.
